We are pleased to announce that the 1st International Workshop on Lung Health, COPD: The New Paradigms will be taking place in a beautiful and sunny city of Monaco, on December 12-14, 2013. This meeting is dedicated to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and its impact on lung health, and will cover such important topics and updates in the discipline as immune response to COPD, airways obstruction and emphysema, new mechanisms and novel therapeutical agents in COPD, possibilities to stop disease progression, anxiety and depression in COPD, exacerbation of COPD, updates on the new developments in the area of bronchiectasis and COPD, ERS-ATS recommendations, antibiotic prophylaxis, lessons learned from the clinical trials in COPD, role of inhaled steroids, respiratory rehabilitation and many other important topics.

The COPD workshop offers a unique opportunity to discuss these issues with the top experts and practitioners,share experience and receive updates on the most recent developments in the area of lung health.

The Congress, promoted by an International group of specialists of the highest level recognizing the need of a deep discussion and understanding on this evolving matter, is organized by AMR – Allergies and Maladies Respiratories, international association promoting the updating and education of medical doctors on respiratory medicine under the auspices and effective collaboration of AMPCM – Association Monégasque pour le Perfectionnement des Connaissances des Médecins.
