RISING STAR / 5th International Workshop on Lung Health

After a difficult selection process where many interesting abstracts coming from all over the World have been evaluated, we are delighted to present you the Rising Stars of the 5th International Workshop on Lung Health.

The Rising Stars will have the opportunity to present their valuable work for the first time in front of an International audience, receiving the kind advise of the Chairmen.

Matteo Bradicich

Matteo Bradicich is a Research Fellow of the Respiratory Pathophysiology and Rehabilitation Unit at Cisanello University Hospital of Pisa (Italy). He also works as Data Manager for Severe Asthma Network Italy (SANI). He collaborates as Honorary Researcher with the Respiratory Medicine Unit of Nuffield Department of Medicine (University of Oxford, United Kingdom) as well. Having taken part to several clinical research and laboratory activities, his main research topics include the study of the pathophysiological pathways of asthma and its precision diagnostic and therapy strategies.

Isis E. Fernandez

Isis E. Fernandez obtained her medical degree in Cartagena, Colombia. Her scientist career began at the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA in Prof. Rosas’ Lab. Later, she joined Comprehensive Pneumology Center in Munich, Germany and the lab of Lab of Prof. Eickelberg. She is currently serving as Section Editor of “basic science and experimental pulmonology” at BMC pulmonary medicine. Her scientific interest includes biomarker screening and the role of the immune system in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
